If you have been comparing Zhangjiajie ticket prices across websites, you have probably seen three or four different numbers and assumed someone is wrong. They are not, exactly. They describe different things. Here is the official structure.如果你在不同网站上比对过张家界门票，大概见过三四个不一样的数字，还以为有人搞错了。其实严格来说都没错，它们说的是不同的东西。以下是官方结构。

• Single gate ticket: ¥165 per person, valid for four consecutive days, and it does not include the shuttle bus.单门票：¥165/人，连续 4 日有效，不含环保车。
• Ticket plus shuttle bus (the standard foreign-visitor option): ¥236 per person, also valid four consecutive days, and this is the figure that matters most in practice.门票 + 环保车（外籍游客的标准选择）：¥236/人，同样是连续 4 日有效，这个才是实际最该用的数字。

• The green shuttle buses inside the park are free and unlimited once you have the combined ticket. The cable cars, the elevator and the small train are all paid separately.买了联票后，园内绿色环保车免费不限次；索道、电梯和小火车均需另付。
• Private cars are not allowed inside the park, so the shuttle is not optional.私家车不得入园，所以环保车不是可选项。

Two things are worth stating plainly, because the internet gets them wrong. First, there is no peak-season and off-season price difference here. Unlike Jiuzhaigou, Zhangjiajie's ticket is a flat ¥165 all year. The prices above rest on Hunan's provincial pricing documents for the scenic area, and they were still in force when this was checked in late 2026. One thing to keep separate: Tianmen Mountain is a completely different attraction with its own ¥288 ticket and no shared validity with the forest park. • East gate (Wulingyuan Landmark Gate): the default, used by the large majority of visitors, and the one with the most hotels, food and transport around it. It has two internal lines: one toward the Tianzi Mountain cable car, and one toward the Bailong Elevator, Ten-Mile Gallery and Shuiraosimen. • North gate (Tianzi Mountain ticket station): the value play, best for self-drivers. If you remember nothing else: the east gate is convenient and crowded, the south gate is convenient and scenic but awkward for the summit, and the north, west and middle gates are quiet but remote. No one publishes queue times because they vary by day, but the patterns are consistent enough to plan around. Now the arithmetic that actually decides it. Buying the two obvious legs separately, the Bailong Elevator up and the Tianzi cable car down, costs ¥65 plus ¥72, which is ¥137 for two rides. The classic two-day loop, though, is the elevator up, the Tianzi cable car down, and a Huangshizhai cable car return, which is exactly four one-way rides. That lands right on the ¥238 four-trip pass and makes it the best value for almost every first visit. 6 The Gate-by-Gate Transport Math: What Each Entrance Actually Costs 按门算账：每个入口实际花多少钱

One safety note that is also a photo note: the macaques along Golden Whip Stream associate plastic bags with food. • Where to base: staying in Wulingyuan town beside the east gate is the standard choice, and it matters for your gate plan, because it puts you minutes from the busiest gate and lets you be through it before the surge.
